Active: "Someone scattered dirty dishes on the counter."
Passive: "Dirty dishes were scattered on the counter."

Kitchen Example 2:
Active: "The cook threw food containers everywhere."
Passive: "Food containers were thrown everywhere."

Kitchen Example 3:
Active: "I left dishes in the sink."
Passive: "The dishes have been left in the sink."
